Under the national policy of actively supporting the silver economy industry, the China Commercial Economy Association has proactively developed the "General Standard for Senior Nutrition Food" as a group standard, which took effect on September 1, 2024.

Yuwang Health Food Co., Ltd., under Yuwang Ecology, participated deeply in the formulation of this standard as a drafting unit.

The "General Standard for Senior Nutrition Food" group standard is China's first general standard for nutritional foods targeting the population aged 60 and above. It specifies detailed requirements for the classification, texture grading, technical requirements, packaging and labeling, transportation, and storage of senior nutrition foods.

The standard categorizes senior nutrition foods based on characteristic nutritional components into: Energy Supplement, Protein Supplement, Lipid Supplement, Basic Nutrient Supplement, and Other Nutrient Supplements. This classification system more clearly defines the supplemental value positioning of senior nutrition foods, facilitating easier selection for the elderly based on their needs.

The release of the "General Standard for Senior Nutrition Food" group standard helps ensure the food safety and nutritional health of the elderly, while also providing relevant standard guidelines for food production and processing enterprises. This significantly promotes the standardization process of China's senior nutrition food industry.
